Join Ready, Set Treat as they explain All about EOB's! An EOB is an Explanation of Benefits, and the insurance company sends it to you via snail mail or electronically. It shows who you treated, the CPT codes you billed, how much you charged, were paid, and what your client owes.
EOBs allow us to see whether our billing methods are working, whether our fee schedules are accurate, and to double check how much our clients owe us in the forms of deductibles, copayment, or coinsurance. They also tell us if our claims are denied (and more importantly why, so we can fix it!). Watch this video to find out how to navigate this sometimes difficult to understand form!
Please note: If you've already completed the Ready, Set, Treat! Academy Recording, this information is very similar to portions of that video
